Just some pictures from now, better description to follow. Nakaya Inosuke was the most famous and respected sawsmith from Sanjō , Niigata (新潟県, 三条市). In his later years, all saw making blacksmiths in the Niigata region lowered their prices below his except for 4. Nakaya Mankichi and his former apprentice Ohba Shoichiro (Ooba Shiyouitirou) were two of those, Yamaguchi Sukezaemon was the third, still looking for my notes on the 4th. Even in his younger years his saws would command 4-6 times the price of Good saws, as demand far outweighed his production. I will update this post as I find my notes.
